In April 2008, The Praedium Group entered into a joint venture with Alpha Equity Management LLC ("Alpha Equity") to manage and develop investment products focused on real estate equity securities.

The Alpha Praedium funds primarily invest in publicly traded stocks of U.S. REITs and other real estate related companies using a 14-factor investment model that has been refined by the Alpha Equity investment team for more than eight years. The model incorporates real estate fundamentals and stock characteristics to capitalize on inefficiencies in a variety of market conditions.

Founded in February 2000, Alpha Equity is an investment management firm specializing in public securities hedge funds utilizing a fundamentally-based, quantitatively-applied investment process. Alpha Equity applies this highly structured methodology to manage net long, market neutral and long/short strategies in U.S., international and real estate public securities.
